Setting screensaver+password in the group policy.
Howdy All, I was wondering if there was a way to set screensaver settings in the group policy for my domain? If so, what steps do I need to follow to set everyone in the domain to a default of 30 minutes and on resume password protect?
Thanks in Advance, E

Is it: scrnsave.scr and is it the same on both XP and Win 2k?
Hi
There are a number that you can use - so long as you specify the name of the screensaver itself and that screensaver resides in the system32 folder. scrnsave.scr is resident on both xp and 2000, there are others,

Blank is fine for now, I'll make a corporate screensaver at some point in the future to replace it.
Excellent Answer by the way, very fast & helpful!

You're welcome - glad to help :))
Just a quick note that "secedit" is depracated and has been replaced by "gpupdate."
If you want to reload all the group polices around the domain then run "gpupdate /force".
I now have non-autolocking PCs - thanks Debsy!
