HOW to remove RECYCLER AND SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION FOLDER from a Flash disk or Hard Disk?

I am facing a serious problem of RECYCLER Folder and System Volume Information Folder automatically appearing in hard Disk and Flash disk. I deleted them but they come again. I even Full Formatted Flash disk but when I insert Flash Disk in Computer, I again see these folders.

In Recycler Folder there is nothing but meaningless long numbers.

I believe that it can be because of Virus infection.

But I am using Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 1 year licensed version and I regularly update it. I never open a flash disk without scanning it.

Is Kaspersky internet security capable to detect and remove viruses or it is just a big business to make money?

I find that a flash disk scanned and virus removed using Kaspersky Antivirus software is showing viruses still exist when scanned using Bitdefender antivirus software.

Is there any reliable solution for home users to prevent virus problems?

Another problem of DESKTOP ICON DISAPPEARED still exist and for this problem also I didn't receive any reliable solution from Expert Exchange.

Thanks.

This could be a virus or it could just be your computer system attempting to create a restore point for your USB drive.

Not all virus scanners are created equally.  Some scanners will find things that other scanners can't or won't find for one reason or another.  My personal preferecne at the moment is actually the Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection.  It is free as long as you have a valid Windows installation.  I am not a personal fan of Kapersky.  I just never liked it.  If bitdefender is finding the virus, what is it doing to clean it?  What virus does it say it is?

As for your other desktop issue, without a link to your original question or description we are unable to help.  Also knocking the community here to help you is not always the best strategy.

Be sure you have autorun disabled as per microsoft's kb article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967715 .  Also I would suggest using something like USB-set to innoculate and prevent USB vector infections: http://www.spywareinfoforum.com/index.php?/topic/128367-usb-set-14/ .

If you are using Windows 7 you should also disable autoplay.  With win7 Microsoft Security Essentials is an excellent way to go (free for home use).  Remeber to check off the option to scan USB devices (off by default).

computers here are installed with a copy of Windows original CD but you (Chickensaur) told me that Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection can not be used on copied Windows machine.

My question about DESKTOP ICONS DISAPPEARED is still open and its ID is

' knocking the community here to help you is not always the best strategy.' I didn't understand well what does it mean.

As I am a new subscriber of Experts-Exchange, I may not be familiar with ethics here.

Am I asking the question in wrong way or Experts-exchange does not answer such questions.

Actually when I subscribed, I saw on website that Expert-exchange has a pool of experts in various IT domains and can assist in solving IT related problem. A subscriber truly gets adequate support against money spent on subscription.

Please help.

I don't know the specifics of your desktop icons problem, but you should try roguekiller:

https://www.experts-exchange.com/Virus_and_Spyware/Anti-Virus/A_4922-Rogue-Killer-What-a-great-name.html

Try item number 6.  It is meant to fix shortcuts, but many items on your desktop tend to be shortcuts.

Also, be sure that your desktop folder does not have the hidden attribute set.

I think what Chickensaur was saying was simply, if you want help, ask nicely.  We are here to help, and want to help.  The more information you can provide, the better the help you will receive.
Its possible these are infected, but are'nt these standard NTFS system files that should exist on every drive?

I am Sorry to say that as a victim of this situation, I have tried what experts have suggested but these actions didn't solve my problem.

If I have a computer for client facing this challenge, Can I keep it for indefinite long time and apply various methods one after another without getting solution?

I subscribed on Expert-Exchange to get immediate and working solution which can help me to solve customer problems in given time. and if solution suggested, do not work in my situation, I need to return the computer.  Once the customer has taken his computer, and I can not continue R&D.

I think that number of inputs doesn't matter if they don't solve the problem as improving knowledge is secondary concern but urgency is to solve the problem.

To improve the knowledge, It may require me to be online all the time and continue reading comments, chatting with experts leaving all my job aside, but I can not do this. There are many free forums for this but Expert Exchange as a paid subscription, I expect timely and working solution to urgently solve customer problems.

If experts want that I must allocate points even if my problem is not solved, administrator can assign whatever point, but I think it is not customer friendly attitude.

Why Flash Disks gets these folders automatically and Anti-Virus software finds Infection each time it scan Flash disk?
