Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 blocking SQL Server 2005 DB Mail

I have a PC that is running SQL Server 2005 Standard.  Receintly I have enabled the Database Mail to send out SQL Mail on a program that is running.  This Machine also has Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.0 (Stand-alone) installed.  THis has the default firewall intsalled and enabled.

What I'm finding, is if Symantec Endpoint Protection is enabled, it blocks the mail from going out.  I have tried adding all sorts of rules in the Firewall dealing with the ports needed.  However, what I'm finding is the only way I can get it to send out the SQL e-mails is to completely disable Endpoint Protection.  If I just diable the FIrewall, it still blocks.

I've looked at the SONAR, but not sure if this will do it.

I need the Anti-Virus and FIrewall running on this machine.  Does anyone know the settings on Endpoint Protection to get it to work right?  I've even tried to put the whole SQL Server directory as an exception for SONAR, but still nothing.

Any help is appreciated, or point me to a post already out there with answers.

try from the pc to make a remote connection to an smtp server (the server SQL uses to send mail for example):
telnet mailserverip 25

Does this connect?

Yep, the mail server works fine.  It's using the same mail server that the PC uses for it's e-mail, so there are no restrictions there.  I can telnet just fine to the mail server.
And you get the welcome screen also from the mail server when you telnet?
If yes, can you see any blocked traffic on the log? (logging must be enabled for blocked traffic), did you try to uninstall and re-install SEP?
Any updates?
