Generating record from incoming email directly in filemaker?
In our office we run tech support operations and are currently starting a re-vamp of our database.
Our plan is to create a ticketing system where one admin appoints "outstanding" tickets to technicians through an admin interface.
To achieve the greatest level of flexibility in the creation of tickets, we want to set up an email address on our domain (techservice@ or similar) that when emailed to, creates a record in filemaker where the from, subject, text, time are all captured in a new record.
I have seen such solutions as mondomail and 360works email and wanted to see if there are any suggestions or stories with those plugins in regards to this operation/application, or any alternative methods you can think of (IE php/mysql or ODBC integration)
