Peachtree Slower After Move to Another Server

Asked by simplemojo in Business Management Software, Windows Networking, Windows 2003 Server

I have just recently re-organized my network which included moving my Peachtree 2008 data files to another server.  The server is a Dell PE 2650 running Server 2003 R2 with dual Xeon 2.40GHz HT, 2GB of Ram and 10K SCSI in a RAID 5 which is the same hardware it was on before.  I installed the Peachtree software on the server and then moved the company folder over to it.  The workstations were not reinstalled and remained the same by connecting to the same network drive as before.  The problem is that Peachtree is slower.  It takes 15 - 45 seconds to display reports when it took the same reports only about 2 - 5 seconds.  The funny thing is, the new server has less resource intensive tasks as the server before so I assumed it would be faster.  Any and all ideas are appreciated on how I can get back to or better than the speed it was before.  Thank you.Start Free Trial
