XP PC did 3 'forced' downs and slowed to a crawl.  Need help interpreting HIJACKTHIS log file.

I experienced 3 forced downs of my PC XP machine (at home) soon after having ordered cheap software that I later learned is a reported malware site.

I merely received email (and did NOT open it) from the reported malware site. I have deleted it.

Although I had not heard of unopened email infecting one's PC, has anyone?

The HIJACKTHIS code is appended.  
Please help me to interpret it.
