Hi ritztech,

There are a ton of DBMS systems that would suit your needs, but AND / OR part of web driven or client/server makes a big difference in your decision tree.

What language is your web site developed in and what is your office operating system / network environment?

Are you looking for an off-the-shelf solution or are you willing to develop something customized to your business?

What sort of company is this?

almost on a customized but not too much becaue im not really good at design. haha...

8 -10 remote machines and im not sure on web design if going that route (ajax probabally)

if there is an off the shelf ...

i was looking into something like alpha five,  but im not sure of Off- the-shelf and maybe it could suit their needs.

thanks

but she needs it for contact management, Invoicing, Sales, like a vendor section, reports, easy to use interface. also to add like within the contact ports to have a tab or whatever (what bank is this customer going through) and look at each bank to also see all the lists of customers that belong and also not to post 2 different times. if that helps.....

thanks

It's a pretty wide spread.  I would say your best bet is MySQL or MSSQL for the database system and hire a good developer to write what you need.

would you know of any like applications im just trying to get a good idea what companys use these days....

i saw mas 90 , alpha five, i know alpha five can do it but it seems its going to take me alot of hours to really put that into play.

Thanks

The problem is the web access. Generally speaking, Quickbooks can handle of the functions you outline, but you cannot access it from a web server.   So if the web strategy is a necessary part of the business, you will need to use a grown-up DBMS and hire a developer to create your applications.

okay then how about different programs because i called commence and they said they can do it for like 1k but do you happen to know anymore applications out there thats probabally what i really need to look at and call these companys...

thanks

It sounds like all you need is a basic business management package, so things like Quickbooks, Peachtree, etc are what you are asking for.  The problem (as I have said numerous times) is if you want to make this a web-based application.  In that case, you have a different set of needs and requirements and unless you have a good understanding of network architecture, security, and application development and deployment, then my best advice is to hire someone who does.

question then (cant really have a sub out not that i cant program but ive seen applications like commence which the person said it can be done.

but would you know if sugarcrm can do the same thing or is it not really user friendly ..

i tried Vtigercrm also open source seems easier.

Thanks ;_)

Since I can't read your mind, questions like "easier" or "more user friendly" are somewhat pointless.  What I think of as easy or user friendly may not be what you think of. Good luck.
