Cygwin problem can't not run simple shell script

I just have a strange problem with cygwin: I can't not run shell script that I normally can.

I have a simple test.sh file :
#!/bin/sh
ls

But when i run it, i got
$ ./test.sh
: command not foundls

Does anyone know what's going on?

Does the script has execute permission? Execute

chmod +x ./test.sh

and then try

./test.sh

also try

ls
sh ./test.sh

What are the results?

yes, I do. And my path is set to /bin as well

amit_g : yes, it has executable permission, and sh test.sh give me the same error. ls works fine.

How have you created this file? Don't use any Windows editors to create any shell scripts. To confirm do this

echo 'echo $PATH' > ./test1.sh
echo ls >> ./test1.sh
chmod +x ./test1.sh
./test1.sh

Also do

echo $PATH

post the results.

can you see if
od -c test.sh
shows an extra \r

cygwin bash doesn't care if there are Unix or Windoze end of line characters.  It will happily work with both.

oh yeah. that's the answer. amit_g.
I run "dos2unix" and it works.
I use windows version of gvim, which explains why.

But it's quite strange, i thought cygwin didn't care like tintin said, coz I used it a year ago for a long time. but then I used it again recently and got this problem.

I have faced this problem myself once. I don't remember how I got into it though. I don't think I would have used Notepad to edit but I am not sure. BTW, ozo was the one who gave the hint first in his as always cryptic language :)
