Set JAVA CLASSPATH in CYGWIN

dear experts,
i have a Java application that depend on jlex.jar and java_cup.jar, that stored an the same application directory

so before compilation (javac) i run below in CYGWIN environment

CLASSPATH=java_cup.jar:jlex.jar
export $CLASSPATH=CLASSPATH;

by doing above, dependencies to java classes that resides at java_cup.jar are able to resolved, but classes at jlex.jar are unknown

If i reversed the order CLASSPATH=jlex.jar:java_cup.jar, the other way happend, able to resolved jlex.jar but not java_cup.jar

The same thing happened if i changed colon to semicolon.

Do you have any insights? thanks in advance

Hi Objects, thank you for your comment. However the path i need are straightforward (in the same directory). I have tested using cygpath for the paths i require and below are the return result




$ cygpath java_cup.jar:jlex.jar
java_cup.jar:jlex.jar
 
$ cygpath -wp java_cup.jar:jlex.jar
java_cup.jar;jlex.jar

FYI, package java_cup.runtime is inside java_cup.jar

should be using a ;

$ javac -cp jlex.jar;java_cup.jar parser.java

below is the result.. it's strange though, what does bash: java_cup.jar: command not found trying to tell?

$ ls parse*
parser.java
 
$ ls *.jar
java_cup.jar  jlex.jar
 
$ javac -cp jlex.jar;java_cup.jar parser.java
javac: no source files
Usage: javac <options> <source files>
........................

forgot you were ina a shell :) Its treating it as two commands.

try this:
javac -cp "jlex.jar;java_cup.jar" parser.java

or use cygpath
