Question

running crontab in cygwin

Hi I have installed cygwin on my windows 2003 machine and also crontab is installed.
but crontab is not running jobs that I have scheduled. please suggest.
File are also getting generated in /var/log as Cygwin cron.log but there is no content.
Please find below enrty in crontab -l

Hi,

You'd better install mail too as you know cron jobs will post the output as mail items. but you need to remove f > /dev/null during your tests.

Ensure the cron daemon (crond) is running.

Remove the empty lines in your cron. Every line has to start either with # or actual entry
