PS2 games for 2 players that I can play with my GF

I would like to know some PS2 game titles I can play with my girlfriend.

The games have to be easy and non-violent (nothing like tekken etc.) and  have to be able to be played with 2 players at the same time.

Currently I have the following titles but would like to expand that so we can have some more options..

- Hugo Bukkazoom
- Burnout 3
- Worms 3D
- Micro Machines V3
- Crash Bandicoot: Tag Team Racing
- All the buzz quizes
- Buzz Junior Jungle Party
- Shrek Superparty

Let's hear some interesting titles :D :D

Thank you for the replies so far..

Balders' Gate : DA II --> not my type of game. Although I like the concept of PVE.
Simpsons Hit & Run/Road Rage --> I'm sorry but I hate the simpsons..
Lego Star Wars --> I didn;t know this was multiplayer.. I will check this out :)
King of Route 66 --> racing games are always cool, but I'm looking for a twist..
Burnout --> yep.. on my list.. have 1-4, but like 3 best.. crashing rules :D
NFS --> also cool, but again a bit 'basic' racing
Timesplitters 2 --> not a bad game, but it's controls are a bit too difficult for my gf hehe

Gauntlet --> not really my type of games.. thanks for the suggestion though..

So some good some less.. any other suggestions? :)

If it is a game you wan't to play with your girlfriend, why don't you go ahead and ask her ?

If she is against playing videogames there are no magic games out there that will convert her into a hardcore gamer but there are a few that come close. First and foremost, ask your girlfriend what kind of game she would like to play.

My girlfriend doesn't play videogames that much but she absolutely LOVED Kingdom Hearts where Square Eenix and Disney joined forces and created a cartoon game which both children and adults loved. (Think Final Fantasy + Micky Mouse) although that one is single player.

I saw Guitar Hero 2 was mentioned above and yes, I kind of have to rip the controller of my girlfriend to get her to stop. And if you truly are looking for some magical games that might take your girlfriend by surprise, go wii. So yeah I guess rhythm games appeal to a broader audience, try picking up either Guitar Hero 2, Eye Toy, Dance Dance Revoluion or SingStar it'll be a hit.

There is a valid reason Wii has outsold everyone in 2007 by a huge margin. It's because everyone's buying it (duh) and by everyone I'm talking about the gamers + non gamers. So while all the gamers are buying Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo products, Nintendo get's the extra share of non-gamers. So, Wii Sports will probably get your gf hooked for starters.

If your girlfriend is a gamer, ask her what she would like to play.

i have a wii also. jstncase's info is a bit off. (well at least in the US it is).

the Wii comes with Wii Sports, which is a primitive but VERY fun version of Baseball, Boxing, Tennis, Bowling, and Golf. you can also buy Wii Play, which comes with an extra controller and a bunch of minigames, Table Tennis, Laser Hockey, Fishing, Find Mii, Pose Mii, Shooting Range, Billiards, Charge!, and the best one, Tanks.

another good game is The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (this is only one player, but its the absolute best game ever, so i had to mention it). i also really like Trauma Center, in which all you do is perform surgeries. you actually use the wiimote like your surgical tools, like take a scalpel and cut across the body and stuff like that. if you're into fighting games (of a sort) you should check out Super Smash Brothers Brawl (which isnt out yet, but its coming soon). It's great fun for multiple people. You get to be one of many Nintendo characters and beat the trout out of each other. Powerups and special moves galore!

there are many other good games for the wii. nintendo has made a system that is fun to play and great for multiple people.

i know you said ps2, but n64s are so cheap these days on ebay or at like a game crazy or some other second hand video games store. a really fun game for multiple people is Mario Kart 64 (stay away from the gamecube version, its not as good). me and my roommate in college used to play this at least one night every weekend. we'd stay up till like 3-4am along with one of our friends just having some drinks and playing mario kart.

I would preferably like to keep one console. I have already bought a dvd with emulated NES games which are pretty fun (mario 1, 2, 3, track&field etc) and SNES (mario world, tmnt etc), but I couldn't find one for N64 yet. Hope this will be out soon, I will definitely buy it.

Well I have ofcourse and I know the genre of games she likes (see examples in my first post), but she's not a gamer and doesn't know anything about it. She just likes to play a little game with me now and than. We usually watch a movie or go shoot some pool or something, but from time to time a little game is fun as well. a Wii would be cool yeah but it's a fair amount of money and I'm not sure I want to spend that much for a few hours a month (or even less)..

administradores:
Roland Garros 2005 <== perhaps
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 <== I hate golf :p
Colin Mcrae <== racing is good
Fifa 2006 <== too difficult to control
Pro Evolution Soccer <== an option yes

Thank all for the replies. You have given me several options to consider. Since there are no good and bad answers here I will try to split the points over all people that have participated in this thread.

Cheers all!
Thanks - happy gaming :)
i havent played the fifa games. the only ones i've played are nba, mlb, and nfl. love them all. nba is a good one. mlb is good if you get the settings right, some settings make the game easier/more automated so you can concentrate on the fun parts. like i hate getting to the ball when fielding, so i turn that automation on, so when my friend hits the ball, the fielder automatically gets to the ball. then i can throw it where i want. the nfl one is fun, but slightly complicated especially if you dont understand football plays well.

i dont know about a dvd with n64 games on it, but i know an n64 emulator for pc is available. use a decent joystick with it and it should be fine.

i have an n64, but i also have an emulator. i bought this device that lets me connect my n64 controller to my pc, so i use that to play the emulator. heck, i even use the n64 controller to play other games.
