Error connecting adp file to SQL Server 2005 Instance

Hi,

I have a new SQL Server 2005 Install and can't connect my MS Access 2003 ADP file to it any more.  I've done this in the past without issue, but now it's not working.

There are a couple little things that I'm doing differently this time, one is that when I installed SQL I used a named instance instead of the default.  I can connect without issue to from SQL Server Management Studio using the IP to connect, but from MS Access I try connecting to the <IP> or the <IP>\<the instance> but neither way works.  I get the error: "[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Invalid Instance()). Invalid Connection."

I'm not sure if the Instance name is the problem, or something else with the Install.  Any suggestions for help would be greatly appreciated!
