The Solution Rating System

sql server 2005 microsoft access 2000 slower than sql server 2000

I manage an access adp and mdb solution that connects to an SQL Server 2000 database over a small LAN in a 10 person office.  The database was upgraded to SQL Server 2005 over the weekend.  We have seen a dramatic slow down in some of the access code that creates a Word Document.  The code makes SEVERAL calls to the database and populates the word document.   The Word Document creation used to tak about 7 seconds, now about 30 seconds.  I installed the SQL Native driver with a little improvmenet in speed but not much.  There is also an import of two images into the word doc.

Questions as follows:
1.  Where are the possible constraints that are causing the slow down?
2.  How do I make sure the adp file is truly using the new native driver, not the old SQL 2000 driver/
3. Are there any logs or monitors on the SQL Server that I can use to determine where this is slowing down?  I have already watched the performance monitor and there is very little performance hit on the server.
4.  Any other ideas on where the constraint is?
