The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Can and how can I have a split form open filtered and then click on record in datasheet and have single record open in a form?

Hello Experts,
OK... this is a multi-tiered question.
I have a database that needs to filter down to single record and I have provided a rudimentary example. The progression needs to work this way for the user:
in short.....
Open up MDB
Decide which 'status' to view
scroll through the datasheet and click on the record to view
- this action opens up the selected single record into the frmProject

In the Sample I have provided
initially the 'frmSplash' opens
- There are 3 status buttons below the 'new project button'
These buttons link to 3 different split forms.  I did this with 3 seperate queries.  I feel like this is a redundant way to do this but is the only way i could show an example.  If there is a better way to do this I am open to suggestions (Do i really need 3 different forms and queries?)
frmDatasheet...
- The reason I chose a split form was I like how you can navigate and filter columns in the datasheet view.  eventually there will be 100s to 1000s of records in each view.
Is is possible for a user to click on a row and have it open into the 'frmProject'?  if clicking on the row is not possible.... can the record be selected and then the user can click on a button to open to record?(this is the purpose of the dummy 'open to current' button)

I am open to any suggestions for design, methods of filtering, querying, ........

Thanks
