The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Relate / Update Tables in Access

Asked by KennethChuma69 in Access Coding/Macros, SQL Query Syntax, Access Architecture/Design

Dear all,
I would like to know how to relate 2 tables in access. I am relatively new with access and I have tried everything and searched for related articles but could not get it to work. I guess it should be possible in access. The problem is the following:
I have a table "claims" that had to many fields (I received error message from access) so I decided to make my table smaller and add another table "checklist" The field that connects these 2 tables is called "claimnumber" and is a primary key. What the system should do is the following: The table claims is fed when using the form claims. So if I add a new claim with a new claimnumber and all other information I want the table checklist to automatically receive another record with the same claimnumber. In the form checklist I can add/change information in that form and automatically it saves it in the table checklist.
If this works I can make a query based on the 2 tables and with fields from the 2 tables. This way I can make a form based on the query and that contains fields from 2 tables. If every field could be in 1 table it would be easier but the fields go well over 250. Your help is highly appreciated. By the way I have made a relationship already between the 2 tables but that does not work.Start Free Trial
