The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Access Subforms sometimes blanked

Asked by LeeBrownNC in Access Forms, Microsoft Access Database, Access Coding/Macros

I own a recruitign business, and built a database to manage clients and candidates.  I have a tabbed front end.  We are a networked environment, and all users are at Access 2003 SP2.

I have a management subform, and a tracking subform for each candidate.  The management subform simply contains check boxes and text boxes.  The tracking subform contains combo boxes, one for client name and one for status.  Each candidate may have been submitted to multiple clients, and each client may be at a different status in the process.

What happens is that on SOME machines, the database works fine.  On OTHER machines, the two subforms appear blank.

There seems to be a display resolution issue.  I have, on some machines, been able to change the display resolution and the records on the subforms appear in each candidate record.  On one particularly stubborn machine, the records do not appear, but if we minimize the candidate form, then maximize the form within access, the records do appear.

In teh past, I had googled this problem, and found an ADHResize function to include with my forms.  It doesnt seem to help.

This is driving me, and my employees crazy.  The database functions well on my machine (of course!).  I am wasting time trying to resolve this.  If you can help, I would GREATLY appreciate  any advice.
