The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Using a search form to find or add new record

I have a very complex database that does not requrie explination.  Within this web of database h-e-double-hockysticks is a very simple table with some simple forms.

The table is a notes table with a order number field and a notes field.  The notes field is a memo.  The idea is to have a form that asks for the order number to add/update notes to.  The notes form has the order number field, and the notes field.

 If the entered order number on the search form exists, it opens the notes form with the existing data.  If notes don't exist for that order, it will open up the notes form to a new record.

It's been awhile since I've coded so the funcitons and syntax has escaped me somewhat and I just can't remember the right way to approach this.  Attached is what I have so far which will open to the record if it exists, but won't necessarily open a new record if the order doesn't exist.
