The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Custom Sorting on MS Access Report

Asked by adamhicks in Access Reports, Access Coding/Macros

I've created a Ready Mix Concrete Database that tracks all of our orders. I have reports setup that we can pull from any date range we would like and see how much it is costing us to deliver to each customer during that time. I would like to sort the report by Customer with the most Total Cubic Yards during that period in desending order. I have not been able to figure this out. I can sort by Customer alphabetically and total the concrete yards that way but can't seem to sort by total CY.

For Example. If we put in a date range and have 5 orders during that time as followed: Cust1 - 7 yards, Cust2 - 5 yards, Cust3 - 3 yards, Cust1 again - 3 yards, Cust3 - 8 yards I would like repor to be as followed.

Cust3 - 11 CY ..............
Cust1 - 10 CY ..............
Cust2 - 5 CY ...............

Basically what it does now when I try to sort by CY is it picks highest per order so it would pick 8 and then 7 then 5 and then group the two different 3 cy orders together.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for help in advance. Start Free Trial
