The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Problem with domain aggregate function in report giving blank results for proven query data

Asked by airwolf in Access Reports, Access Coding/Macros

I have created a report that looks at patient charges/payments and gives the 'first' dates for billing, payments, and adjustments.  There is a master table fed by another application that gives a record per 'entry' - i.e. the initial charge for a procedure billed would be one line, the payment(s) would be other lines, and any adjustment(s) would be other lines.

I have 4 queries involved in this:
1) The main query that (modification of a duplicate query) that brakes down each patient per procedure billed
2) A breakdown of that query that gives the first procedure billed per patient
3) A query of the main table that groups the data by patient number, insurance plan, ref number, procedure code, ChargeType="PMT", and minimum post date, to get the first date payment posted
4) A query of the main table that groups the data by patient number, insurance plan, ref number, procedure code, ChargeType="ADJ", and minimum post date, to get the first date adjustment posted

I've been able to test the data in each query and confirm accuracy, but my problem is with a domain aggregate function used to pull the 1st payment and 1st adjustment dates from the last 2 queries.  Why are the records with no insurance plan code pulling neither of the dates that I can clearly see in the last 2 queries?... (see attached code for example of payment function, and all other records pull the appropriate data)Start Free Trial
