The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Need to build a report with a filter by date range, that when the report opens the date range is used to filter subreports.

I am trying to build a report that uses a date range to filter the report to specific records.  The report its self has 6 subreports used to consolidate data and total the number of records.  The problem I have is that the date range put in the main form needs to be passed along to the subforms.

The data I am collecting is for a medical database on a construction site.  The catagories can be:  Occupational Injury, Occupations Illness, Non-Occupational.  There is also a series of selectors for First Aid Case (FAC) or Medical Treatment Case (MTC).  The report I am trying to build will look like this:

 - Occupational Injury - FAC = 10
 - Occupational Injury - MTC = 1

 - Occupational Illness - FAC = 1
 - Occupational Illeness - MTC = 0

 - Non Occupatonal FAC = 15
 - Non Occupatioanl MTC = 4

My original attempt was to create a master report with 6 subreports (each subreport has its own Query).  Each subreport has a record counter in the footer that give me the desired result of counting the records.  To beakout the data, I used grouping and sorting in the subreports  to breakout the exact data needed.  Everything works fine if I want to totals for all data in the database.  The problem is I need to sort all the data by a date rage, and I do not want to enter the date rage 6 times (one for each subreport).  Any suggestions?
