The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

need to repeat labels in access that may span more than one label

Experts,

Here is the problem.

I need to generate a business card size list of employees and phone #'s for a selected department in the company. As an example Accounting is selected and everyone in accounting and their phone #'s are selected.  I then need to print that list on a credit card sized report (label) and if that list is to large to fit on one card I need it to continue on the next card. Then I need to print one copy for each employee.

I attempted to solve this problem with a report/subreport layout based on the same recordsouce and I get the correct copies and the parent layout is fine. But the continuation of a department to the second card will not work, I have spent two days trying to fix it and think I need a different solution.

example:

accounting 25 employees (only 20 will fit on a card)

card 1                     card2                      card 3                      card 4           repeat this layout 25 times
employee 1            employee 21      (same as card)   (same as card 2)
employee 2            employee 22
    '                          employee 23
    '                          employee 24
employee 20          employee 25

These cards are intended to be carried and change frequently so I want to print them in a label/business card format to simplify things.

Thanks in advance
