Hello, my company mantains a range of website which share a wide part of the code. Although most of this is appropriately grouped in solutions that are used by all products at the same time, the (.Net) projects of each websites is still very similar and partially overlapping among those, with a good share of file which is identical between projects.
Occasionally, I must perform improvements and bug-fixing an all those websites. Which sometimes translates in boring sessions of closing/opening the same file over and over in different projects, make the same copy-&-paste correction of the new code and then close.
THE QUESTION:
Is there any software that allows me to edit only once the code in different projects, with the same file-system structure, only for files who are identical (or possibly very similar)?
Would love to know something on the subject. After all, a whole bunch of people must have had the same problem before.
