Browse All TopicsHi,
I've written a windows application with Visual Studio 2005. All database calls go through a web service which has also been written in VS2005.
When stepping through the windows app code, I've always been able to step into the web service under Windows XP. Since I've upgraded to Windows 7, I can no longer step into the web service code.
An error dialog pops up:
Unable to automatically step into the server. Attaching to the server process failed. Access is denied.
The web service has been set-up as a virtual directory in IIS on my local machine.
Anybody have any ideas?

When you launch Visual Studio, did you run as administrator?
I've not run VS under Win 7 yet, but I know that VS2005 under Vista works best when run as admin. I believe they fixed this with VS2008.
Just a thought.
