Mindjet got back to us and gave us the reg key to disable spelling as you type. This can also be done by manually disabling spelling as you type and then checking the registry for the correct location.

You can write script with these reg keys etc, and specify it as logon script in group policy. The script should begin with checking if Mind Manager 7is already installed, and this patch is not yet applied.
Also, if Mind Manager 7 is MSI file, you can create so called Transform with "amendments" to the installation. Then you can deploy MM7 with this transform as one installation

as a sidenote - often when I'm considering entering a contract (generally; may be software purchase, or anything else), I contact company's tech support with some question. What I see is usually far more revealing about their competence (and therefore about their product I'm considering) than their polished website (made for them by 3rd party web designer) or their sales talk.
