Browse All TopicsI have 200+ desktops all running on XP. I need to activate the windows feature that requires you to enter a password when the computer is woken up from the screen saver. Is it possible to force this setting out to desktops via group policy in AD? If yes how would I go about doing it, if no what options if any are available for mass deploying this change?

Click Start and click Run.
Type in gpedit.msc and Click OK.
Expand User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Control Panel.
Click the Display container.
In the Details pan, double click Password protect the screen saver.
Click Enabled.
Click OK.
Once you complete the steps outlined above, the Password protected option that is normally available on the Screen Saver tab from the Display Properties dialog box will be disabled and the password will be required upon resuming from the screen saver.
