Browse All TopicsI will be pre-deploying Office 2007 to various computers over the next few weeks. Complete deployment will occur in December/January. Because of this I will need those individuals who receive 2007 before everyone else to be saving in the 2003 format. (Aware of the CompatibilityPack for 2007 file format... it's not a feasible solution in this case)
I am currently using the Office 2007 Customization Tool (setup /admin) to configure some of the options. However, I am unable to find a way to change the default save format. I have googled the problem and can easily create a batch file that will change the save format but it will only make the change for the user that is currently logged in (ie a registry change to HKEY_CURRENT_USERS). I would like to implement a method that will make the change for all users and be easily reversible (when we roll out 2007 to everyone). Any ideas?

I found the solution
Within the Office Customization Tool, choose: Features > Modify User Settings > Choose the individual app you want to change the default save format for (in my case Microsoft Office Access 2007) > choose Miscellaneous > Default file format > Enabled > And select Access 2003-2003.
