Is it possible to use .bat or .vbs files in a task or do I have to use powershell scripts?

Browse All TopicsHi!
I`m testing WDS and MDT 2010 to deploy Windows 7 to client computers.
I want to deploy Windows 7 with a custom folder with some files in it.
Is it possible to add this custom folder to the installation with a task in "task sequences"?
The folder is already existing on a share on the network, I have tried a copy command under "task sequences" but when the deployment is finished, the folder is not on the client.
Please help me....

Ok thanks guys!, got it working by adding an application (.bat file that copies folder from a share with xcopy).
Another question, if I uncheck "Enable this application" check box in an application properties, the application is still getting installed but if I remove it from the Task Sequences it is not installed.
What is the "Enable this Application" check box good for?
I`m running a Zero Touch Installation (only the computername box appears).

You can install Windows 7, put the files on the HDD and then capture it.
You should be able to run a powershell script that does the trick for you. If that fails. check the NTFS and the share permissions. The installation of Windows 7 runs under the local Administrator account, so normally that account can't authentificated on the network. Check the event log if you can find same related errors.
You can also do this with a GPO.
