Browse All TopicsHi,
We're using Perforce to manage our Visual Studio source code. We've submitted many files to the depot, which can be seen under "depot" in the "depot tree" of the P4V client.
If I go into Windows Explorer and move all the submitted files and folders to another folder (not in the workspace), and then go to the depot and do "Get Latest Revision", perforce returns with "no files updated".
I was expecting it to download all the files again, from the depot.
Why is it not doing this? Should I be trying something else to get all the files downloaded again?
I'm just testing to make sure that all the files I need are submitted, in case anybody is wondering...

The Perforce server checks the contents of the P4CLIENT you've uses, not the contents of the directory.
You can do "get last revision" with "force" flag, if you've moved/deleted the files you've had.
