How to make a clone of a CVS repository using git? I have access to a CVS remote repository and I want to make a local copy of it in git. I don't want to ever make any updates to the CVS, just want to be able to have a local copy in git. I'm a little nervous because I don't know CVS very well, and I don't want to break anything.
