VB6 App. fails after OS goes to screen saver and sign back in

I support a large VB6 application that is used in banks.  The banks want the employees to have to sign back in after inactivity.  The problem is , every time the screen saver comes up and they go to sign back in the app. fails and shuts down.  I have a text error file that picks up errors associated with runtime but it is not picking up this problem.

I have researched this problem and cannot seem to find others who have experienced this.  Any help or links to threads were this has been answered already would be much appreciated.
