We have a lab w/ 10 thin clients connecting to a citrix server thru a 10mb pipe. There is what I have noticed. (Applications installed: Microsoft word, pp, excel & IE 7.0) Citrix Farm of 3 servers.
1) I logged into all 10 thin clients w/ student account, opened an app on each one. Stood back and about after 2/3 minutes all the applications closed on all ten computers. Tested a second time, brought apps back up, was working in 2 of the thin clients. About 5/6 minutes later all apps closed.
2) Had students 5 students come in and use the lab. (5 thin clients are idle) Approx. 10 mins in it kicked everyone off their applications. Some times their work comes back, sometimes not.
So it kicks off every at the sametime & it seems to be a sporadic kickoff w/ no error msg.
note:
*The student login is a generic login that logins in the student account to the network and to the citrix server. Users don't have individual accounts.
*Only lab in the building. Other users in different locations arent affected by this situation.
*Pasted keep alive commands in appserv.ini didn't work.
