Will Mas 200 work over a VPN.  A consultant recommended us to upgrade our current Mas90 to Mas 200 and install Citrix.  It seems funny to upgrade to Citrix.  Start Free Trial

From the MAS200 Installation Guide:
"Sage MAS 200 has been successfully tested with Virtual Private
Networking. If you are implementing VPN, you should consider that
software-based solutions, such as VPN bundled with Windows Servers on
low speed connections, may slow performance, because of the security
overhead."
However, I always recommend Citrix because first hand experience has proven that MAS200 performance is faster over Citrix than across a VPN. Our experience in connecting to MAS90 over a VPN has been one of spotty connections, very slow performance, and numerous print issues. Of course, we only consult on MAS90 and MAS200; we depend upon the client's IT staff to properly configure remote access.

Here here,

Citrix or terminal services,

We ran MAS90 /200 over vpn and the load times for anything in MAS90/200 were up to 45 sec's to 2 minutes per load. Also crystal printing was taking up to 2 minutes even with the csodbc driver enabled.

A year ago we moved to terminal services and have not had a peformance problem that wasn't related to our isp or a bunch of people downloading the latest season of american idol all at once.

......In my opinon though their suggested ram on ts is lower that in should be per concurrent user. I would multiply what they say be 2 or 3 and you will be good.
