Deleting an e-mail message does not remove the referenced queue item

Whenever I remove an email message in CRM which has a referencing queue item in 'My work' the e-mail message is removed, but not the queue item.

The result is a lot of queue items that cannot be opened or deleted anymore (since the original record is not available anymore)
