tnx man. Peachtree crashed with internal hard drive. Trying to find file on external back up drive so i can rebuild after i put new hard drive in.

Where does Peachtree Accounting store my company file in program ?
Hi guys. need to find the company file created by client in their Peachtree Accounting program. Trying to find it in the external back up drive. Internal Hard Drive crashed, must rebuild from back up. Would be nice if I knew the file extension. I'm a QuickBooks man and I'm lost!
Help please!

I assume you are going to hook up the dead drive as a slave to a working computer and access the drive in that manner.
You may need to take ownsership of folders and files to access them in the slave drive.

To find the location open Peachtree and Select Open Company. Below you will see the Open Company Dialog Box. Move this sliders to view all of the Directory Name. A sample location would be C:\peachtree\ppa2006\compa
