What OS is the data held on?
When you say "load up" - do you mean just starting the Sage program or when actually accessing data?
Are the accounts dept still on 2000 or were they upgraded too?

Browse All TopicsOur company uses Server based Sage Line 50 and the Accounts Dept's PC's are Windows 2000 and everything was working fine until the Users PC's were upgraded to Windows XP, now whenever more than one person is using Sage it takes much longer to load up and is generally slower in use.
Does anyone know how to resolve this.

From experience, a recommended RAM requirement for an XP machine running Sage Line 50 is 2GB.
Sage recommend "at least 1GB".
Which version of Sage are you currently using?
Please check that all hotfixes and updates from Sage have been applied.
Antivirus may need configuring to ensure all generated/changed files are not being constantly intercepted by your AV.
This can cause massive slow down.

Here is also a checklist:
Ensure that the latest Microsoft updates are installed.
Ensure all PCs are running the same version and build number of the program.
From within Sage Accounts, open the Tools menu then choose Network Optimisation. Deselect the The server holding the Sage Accounts data is running a Windows 95/98/ME operating system check box. (If selected).
If you have a large number of transactions, invoices, sales orders or purchase orders that you no longer require, deleting these will increase the speed of Sage Accounts.
