The Solution Rating System
|
|
| With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site. If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support. Thank you! |

Asked by IT_anglo in Tax / Financial Software, Microsoft Dynamics, MS Dynamics GP
We are currently using Great Plains Dynamics 6 and are planning to upgrade. We have a requirement for the upgraded software as follows:
1) To be able to post income from one invoice to multiple posting periods
2) To handle multiple currencies (Dynamics 6 already does this)
We are a private language school where students can study for long periods which span more than one calendar year (this is also our financial year Jan-Dec). At present we have to give each student a unique booking reference number per year. For example if a student is booked from October 2009 until May 2010 they will have two booking reference numbers and two invoices (one for Oct 09 > Dec 09, and one for Jan 10 > May 10). This means the student also has two debtor accounts in Dynamics which is causing us considerable problems (e.g. with our credit control, data duplication / inconsistency etc.)
Does anyone know if the latest version of Dynamics (GP 10?), or any mainstream accounting packages (using the example above) will allow us to enter one sales invoice with the ability to post income for 2009 into 2009, and to post income for 2010 into 2010.
