How do I delete a blank vendor type item

Asked by marvinandcandy in Quickbooks Financial Software, Windows XP Operating System

Tags: , ,

After trying to upgrade a Quickbooks 2004 data file to any version 2005, 2006, or 2007 I get an error which would not allow the upgrade to continue. Upon looking at the error log I found that it stopped at the Vendor type list. There is a blank vendor type in this list and if I do a Control+D to delete it, QuickBooks will go through the process of deleting but it never goes away. I've also tried to edit this item and add a description, but QuickBooks will not save my changes. I've ran the Utility to rebuild, but same problem exists. How do I delete this item so that this file can be upgraded to a newer version?Start Free Trial
