Windows Installer 2720 message during quickbooks installation

I am working on a Quickbooks 2008 issue caused by the recent .net 2.0 update. This situation is posted on Intuit's support page. I believe I have fixed the .net issue but now am getting the following error during attempts to reinstall Quickbooks. "Error 2720.Error opening source list key. Error: '2' ". Internet seaches indicate this is a windows Installer error. Intuit has nothing on this in their knowledgebase...

Try running the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to clean out the Quickbooks Install, then reinstall:

Of course, I would also contact Intuit Support about this issue as well. They should provide free installation support.
