Merging Quickbook Files?
I have quickbooks pro 2009. It is installed on 2 machines, one at a hair salon where sales are being entered throughout the day. It is also on my home machine where I would like to be able to enter invoices and perform other accounting functions.
I know I can take a copy of the file home from the salon and put it on the home machine, update invoices etc.. and then take the file back to the salon for the next day.
My understanding is that if i do not update the file back in the salon for the next day and more sales are posted i now have to reenter everything that i did at home.
Is there a way to get around this situation? In my case there is no option of network or internet connectivity between the two machines.

Sorry, you cannot merge quickbooks files. You can export and then import some data; however, since you are entering payments it would be quicker to re Key the data
You may want to look at this internet solution if a network is not possible (assuming you have internet access at both locations
