Browse All TopicsWe are in the process of consolodating all of our Accounting departments to one server here in the home office. Offices in Europe and South Africa are using the European version of quickbooks, We are using enterprise version of quickbooks. according to intuit you cannot migrate from one to the other.
Has anyone had any experience with this and could you direct me in the right direction?

The different country versions of Quickbooks (and many accounting products) are really quite different. We are just completing a product that will link to any of the country versions of QB to integrate with ACT! and other CRMs and find working with QB is like dealing with entirely different companies that have nothing in common other than the product name. We're having to create unique code for each country.
I imagine not many people move the country of their accounts dept... so I don't think there would be a conversion tool available. The data would need to be exported from the EU version, modified, then imported to the US version.
There are issues that would need to be worked out - different tax calculations and currency, modifying address format, matching product lists, trnaslating to English (if necessary) are some that come time mind.
If Europe and South Africa aren't using same language versions, this would need to be repeated for each foreign version
As we have been working with the different country versions, I could look at doing a quote for you on this if you can't find another solution
