excel 2007 row issue

I have a row issue in excel 2007. SOmeone the worksheet creates over 65000 rows and makes the size of the worksheet huge. This also happens when we export from Quickbooks to excel. There is no formatting or data on any lines past say 50. But it creates over 65000 lines.
