Sharing Simply accounting 2008 between 2 XP Home machines

I have a Client who has 2 XP home machines set up as a workgroup. we have jusst installed simply accounting 2008 Premium and shared out the data files.
what happens is when the other machines trys to access it all it does is crashes simply. Now i thought it could be simply so i reversed the order and moved it to the other XP Home machime and shared it but the other PC does the exact same thing. I am thinking that with 2008 it works alot on permisions and the fact that they are running XP Home is what causing my problems. I am just hoping that somebody else has experienced this and can tell me for sure that the problem is XP Home.
