dell card reader

I have a dell inspiron 1525 with recently installed Win XP.  When I put in my 8 gig SD card nothing happens.  Do I need a driver or what?

You probbaly need a driver check device manager see if there are any devices with a question mark or an exclamation point next to them.

Any drivers you need for your laptop will be found here.

I had already downloaded those drivers.  For some reason, it started working properly without any further manipulation.
