Basically, that is the way how AVG remote administration works. If you want to change the settings on clients, then you should set it as non-mandatory in AVG Admin console (small grey lock icon) and synchronise settings. After this is done, you will be able to change unlocked setting on all clients.
It is a bit more difficult if you want to do that only on one client:
Firstly, you should create two separate computers groups in AVG Administration. Move desired PC to the new group and set non-mandatory settings for hat PC. Make sure that al mandatory items from shared settings are moved to the group with rest of PC and set as non-mandatory in shared settings. I hope it is clear enough. :D
