Hello, I have AVG 8.5 installed at the primary location, I have a secondary location on a different subnet that I can push AVG out to the remote stations and they install and appear to work. The problem is that the stations aren't reporting back to the AVG ADMIN console so I can't manage them effectively. I originally installed using a server name which would be not known to the foreign stations. I later went back and changed it to an IP (which is how I pushed them out), but still no result.. Does anyone know AVG well enough to help me fix this.

ks admin, thanks.. this helps.. the remote machines that I have pushed avg to do have the server name in there and I can't ping by server name.. Can you tell me where I put the IP address for future pushes?
I suspect I could put a DNS entry out ther which could resolve it..

Sure... if you're pushing it via login script, there is a .ini file which contains all of your settings.. Just modify it with IP address instead of server name. Mine is called Avg9Setup.ini, yours may be different if you're running version 8.x.
I believe a DNS entry may take care of it as well!

I use AVG across multiple subnets... I also changed the remote admin settings to use IP instead of servername.
From the consoles not reporting correctly, can you verify they can ping the admin server? If you open AVG, go to Tools > Advanced Settings and then Remote Administration, does it show the right server IP and port?
Does the Test Connection button work?
