Unable to delete infection: Win32:Delf-IMA [Trj} @ c:\Documents and Settings\Leonard Martin\....\svchost.exe

Asked by GMartin in Avast Anti-Virus Software

Hi Everyone;

         Upon running AVAST last night on my backup pc, I noticed a few infected files.  I was able to delete all of them with the exception of the following one with the following error message:  Unable to delete infection: Win32:Delf-IMA {Trj} @ c:\Documents and Settings\Leonard Martin\...\svchost.exe.
I did a search and found a few files on the hard drive with the name of svchost.exe.  Would deleting these files manually be sufficient since I was unable to do so using AVAST in Safe Mode?

          Any feedback regarding this question will be appreciated.  I look forward to hearing from everyone regarding this concern.

          Thank you
