Could not start CMA Process...message comes While installing Framepkg.exe (McAfee Agent) on ePO Client PC

Hi friends !

I am running McAfee e-Policy Orchestrator Server 4.0. It is my Antivirus Server running on Windows 2000 Server SP 4. The FQDN of the server is avserver.kie.ac.rw.

We have not yet purchased it. The product seller has just installed it to test it. So we don’t have any license and technical support for this product.

This server fetches updates from internet, then distributed to the client PCs. All of the computers including Servers (DC, DNS, DHCP, ISA and this ePO Antivirus Server) and Clients are member of the Domain.

In almost all the PCs, we have installed McAfee Enterprise Edition 8.5i. To ensure communication between ePO Server and ePO Clients, there is a McAfee Agent that needs to be installed on all client PCs.

I have installed this agent in many of the client PCs manually and automatically through ePO Console. So now they are getting updates from ePO Server.

In a PC which is has very important data, I failed to install Agent both manually and by ePO Console. When I installed agent, I found the following error…

************************************************************************
Could not start CMA Process

McAfee Agent and Updater Setup
There was an unexpected error during setup execution. See this log file for details:
C:\Documents and Settings\Cyrillecyrillecyrill\Local Settings\Temp\NAILogs\FrmInst_DICT-PC004.log

************************************************************************
I looked in log FrmInst_DICT-PC004.log but I didn’t understand. If you tell, I will send it also.

Then I looked event log, I found three events related to this installation error. These are:

1. Event ID: 7035 Description: The NAI ePO Agent Install service was successfully sent a start control.
2. Event ID: 7036 Description: The NAI ePO Agent Install service entered the running state.
3. Event ID: 7036 Description: The NAI ePO Agent Install service entered the stopped state.

Please help me in this regard. How can I install the Framepkg.exe ? Where is the problem in my system DICT-PC004.kie.ac.rw ?

Thanks,
