Can't remove SwenA virus

I'm trying to fix a Windows 98 computer that was not being updated. The person uses OE5, Kazaa, MSOffice ,etc..., you know, all the wrong things to do. They downloaded an antivirus (AVAST) and it found at least one virus: SwenA worm. It said it cleaned it but it didn't.

When they open Outlook Express the same email continues to be created in the Inbox and the Antivirus says that a virus was found. I select "delete file" and it says it was successfull. Unfortunately, upon reboot the same thing happens again.

I decided to try another antivirus software (Norton) to remove this virus. It was basically the same scenario. I also downloaded Norton's removal tool but it didn't work either. It says it found SwenA and fixed it but upon reboot I had the same problem. I also used Norton's Manual Removal procedure and I had no success with that either.

I decided to try Trend Micro's Online scan/clean solution as a last gasp effort anbd it was the same thing. I am curerently trying their SwenA removal procedure, which just found another virus (Sobig). I am pretty scepticle about this one working.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
