Cannot download AVG updates

Asked by SMPC in Anti-Virus Applications, HijackThis Software, Desktop Anti-Virus

Something very strange is going on with this Dell, XPSP2, desktop. We cleaned it up with CC Cleaner last week, then installed the free version of AVG, and everything was running fine. Then about three days later the AVG virus database would not update. We kept receiving a "could not connect to server" error message. We checked the system clock and it had the correct time and date, we uninstalled and reinstalled AVG, we tried to visit the help files at the Grisoft site, but we could never even connect to the Grisoft site. Upon attempting to go to the Zone Alarm site we get redirecetd to a shopping site.

Anyway, I beleive we ar hijacked. Our HIJACK THIS LOG is attached.
