Configuring Symantec Antivirus 10.1.6.6000 on a Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server

Tags: Symantec, Antivirus, 10.1.6.6000, Installed on Windows Server 2003 sp2 Terminal Server, terminal server
I need to know how to best configure Symantec Antivirus 10.1.6.6000 on our new Terminal Servers running Windows Server 2003 sp2.  We use roaming profiles and the profiles are deleted when users log off.

We have an Exchange Server with antivirus scanning at our University so I chose to not install the Outlook Snap-In.  I have also disabled Tamper Protection.   I have also disabled network scanning because our file server and the server where are profiles are stored already have SAV running.  Is this the way to go?

I also want to consider excluding certain directores and files types from the scans.  I see a small wealth of information out there for Exchange Server and Domain Controllers, but little for Terminal Servers.  I will award points to someone who can provide me with some good documentation, or their personal approach to this type of configuration.

Are there any other recommended settings we shouls use?

I already have this tired link that gets passed around:  http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2002093014240148?Open&src=w  and this one: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;822158
